Ingleby Incline

On Easter Sunday me and my Dad went walking. Surprisingly it was actually still snowy up on the hills, despite it being very late March. Also despite it being sunny, it was bitterly cold up on the hills. However we still had a really good walk, because most of the drifts were at the sides of the path because walking in deep snow is fun for about a mile, before it becomes incredibly tiring and a short walk in deep snow can make you feel as if you've walked for an incredibly long walk after. although it is probably quiet good for you!

We walked along the Cleveland Way until we came to Ingleby Incline which is where a train used to go up and down the hill to provide the workers with their tools! luckily it wasn't icy as we had first thought that it might be and in fact it was really fun as there was a lot of untouched snow, and everyone likes that. Although i did get wet feet as the snow went above the tongue on my boot where all of the water goes in, which was quiet cold!

Here you can see Roseberry Topping in the distance and Captain Cooks Monument just as it is blending out into the sky!

This is an example of how cold it was up there!

The sky was really pretty here it was really Pink but it didn't come out on camera very well, this picture does not do it justice but i still felt i should but it in because you can see it a little bit, right on the horizon

The view down the Incline, as you can see there is a lot of untouched snow!

The view up the incline, i don't think i fancy walking up it!
